About Me

This psychological and spiritual “crisis”, caused me to embark on what at times felt like a personal development roller coaster!  I undertook powerful courses ranging from those by Landmark Education which are about personal discovery and understanding our own “life context” to the wonderful and overtly spiritual workshops run by Mary Aver.  During this time I found it was the rituals and teachings from shamanic traditions which resonated most strongly with me. It was as if I was “coming home” to something very deep and familiar.

After two years learning from various teachers, in 1997 I began training intensively with Jonathan Horwitz of the Scandinavian Centre for Shamanic Studies which has equipped me with much more than just healing methods and techniques. Shamanism has been my spiritual path and daily practice since those very first journeys and for some years now I have been privileged to use my training together with the healing power of my spirit guides and helpers for the benefit of others.

I grew up in East Anglia in an environment surrounded by fields and countryside which I loved exploring during the long Summer holidays!  In my twenties I travelled widely and spent a year living and working in Switzerland where I gained a lifelong love of snow capped mountains, fast flowing rivers and dense green forests! During this period of travel and adventure I met some wonderful people and my search for spiritual fulfilment led to many positive changes in my life.

After returning to Britain and experiencing several years of spiritual exploration and development, much of it within a mainstream Christian setting, I decided to study theology with a view to being ordained in the Church of England.  At college I found the environment very stimulating although the outcome was not what I expected.  By the time my training came to an end I had realised that the spiritual role of an Anglican Priest, and in fact remaining a participant in formal religion, was not for me and after graduation, I returned to “secular” life.

The following years saw me living and working in London, but despite having a successful career and a fulfilling long term relationship, I felt that something deep and fundamental was still missing in my life.  My sense of inner frustration continued to grow and this finally came to a head in 1995 during a particularly challenging time which drove me to seek a solution.

When working for others, ongoing professional development and support is essential and I often assist on the courses of the Scandinavian Centre for Shamanic Studies and meet formally and informally with my peers. I regularly undertake specialist training with other teachers and attend the meetings of the Core Shamanic Practitioners Circle.  This is a UK based group that supports good practice in shamanic healing.  I am also a member and attend the conferences of the Society for Shamanic Practitioners which is an international organisation based in the USA which seeks to encourage and support shamanic practice, particularly among the growing number of medical clinicians now using shamanic techniques.

I am based in West London with excellent public transport and road links.  For an initial discussion without obligation please contact me by email at enquiry@malcolmmoore.com by clicking here or telephone me on 020 8566 1259. (Please note, I travel frequently so an initial enquiry by email will normally receive a faster response, usually within

24-48 hours).
